Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a Schengen visa and do UAE residents need one?

A Schengen visa allows entry into the 26 countries in the Schengen Area. UAE residents generally need a short-stay Schengen visa (Type-C) if they wish to stay for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. The specific requirements may vary depending on which Schengen country you plan to visit.

Processing times usually range from 7 to 15 calendar days after submission of a complete application. However, during peak seasons or for specific countries, it could take longer. We’ll guide you on optimal submission timing to meet your travel plans.

Common documents include:

  • Passport with at least 3 months’ validity beyond your intended trip + blank visa pages.
  • Completed visa application form.
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
  • Proof of UAE residency (e.g. Emirates ID).
  • Travel itinerary (flight bookings, accommodation).
  • Travel insurance covering medical emergencies (minimum cover usually €30,000).
  • Proof of financial means (bank statements, salary certificate).

Requirements may vary slightly based on the country you are applying to. We’ll help you verify the checklist for your specific destination.

Yes — a valid Schengen visa allows you to travel freely between all member states, as long as you abide by the terms (e.g. total duration of stay, entry/exit rules). Make sure you plan your route and lodging accordingly.
In some cases, there are fast-track processing options or priority appointments. These depend on the embassy or visa center of the country you are applying to. We’ll inform you whether these options are available and help you access them, if possible.
The visa fee generally ranges from €80 to €100 for adults, but fees may differ based on age, nationality, or type of visa.
If your visa application is refused, you will receive a written explanation of the reasons. You have the right to appeal or re-apply once you’ve addressed the issues cited in the refusal. We’ll assist you in preparing a stronger application in such cases.
Yes. Travel health insurance with a minimum coverage of €30,000 for medical emergencies is typically required for all Schengen visa applications. The insurance should cover your entire stay within the Schengen Area.
It’s best to apply at least 15-30 days before your travel date to allow for submission, processing and unexpected delays. Some embassies may accept applications earlier, up to six months in advance for certain types of travel.
Yes. Children and family members (including dependents) can apply together. However, each applicant (including minors) usually needs individual documentation, photographs, and a separate visa form. If one parent is traveling with a minor, additional consent or documentation may be required.

Your dedicated case manager will:

  • Review and guide you through all required documents.
  • Assist you in filling out the application correctly.
  • Schedule your appointments (visa center, biometrics) if applicable.
  • Track your application status.
  • Help you respond if additional documents are requested.

This ensures your application is handled smoothly and reduces the risk of delay or rejection.
